The Traveler Satchel Pen was created for those ordinary moments when something worth remembering asks to be put on paper.

Each pen is individually handcrafted in North Carolina in the workshop of E.M. Gray’s husband ~ the craftsman behind these small pieces made especially for Heaven’s Postal Express.

Some begin with the warm, unmistakable grain of authentic olive wood. (certificate of authenticity included).

Others are made from handcrafted acrylic resin, with color and movement revealed as the material is shaped and polished.

Still others bring contrasting materials together ~ pieces carefully cut, joined, turned, shaped, and polished until they become one finished writing instrument.

Every barrel is prepared specifically for this pen and individually turned on the lathe.

No two are precisely alike.

That is part of their beauty. 🕯️

Made for the Traveler

At approximately 4½ inches long when capped and about ⅜ inch in diameter, the Traveler Satchel Pen is deliberately compact.

Smaller and lighter than many traditional rollerball pens, it was made to slip easily into a handbag, journal pouch, pocket, writing case, or Traveler’s satchel.

The snap cap removes easily for writing and can be posted securely onto the back of the pen while in use ~ keeping it close at hand and comfortably balanced.

Small enough to travel.

Beautiful enough to leave on the writing desk.

Useful enough to reach for every day.

A Rollerball Made for Writing

Each Traveler Satchel Pen is finished with antique brass hardware and fitted with a quality Schmidt 888 Fine Black rollerball refill.

The smooth rollerball writing experience makes it lovely for:

Each pen arrives with its refill already installed and is ready to write.

From the Craftsman’s Workshop

These pens do not arrive at Heaven’s Postal Express finished.

They begin as wood, resin, and carefully selected materials on a workbench in North Carolina.

Pieces are selected.

Some are cut and joined.

Each barrel is prepared for its fittings.

Then it goes to the lathe.

Turned.

Shaped.

Smoothed.

Polished.

And finally assembled by hand with its antique brass rollerball components.

It is a wonderfully ordinary process ~ wood, tools, hands, patience.

And somewhere along the way, an ordinary collection of pieces becomes something made to carry words. 🕯️
